Today we've done a lot of talking about dubbing and subtitles in anime. It's a hot topic among anime fans, and always will be. Some people don't understand why localization houses bother putting together dubs, while others aren't into reading while they watch. The argument is a little lopsided in support of subs, but I think it's time to see things from the other side of the coin.
You hate subs, you hate dubs, it doesn't really matter. I want to know who's willing to put aside their tastes and try heading over to the other side. I figured we could see who's interested in actually giving the opposite side of things a shot. I'm normally a dub guy, and I'm more than willing to switch over to the sub side for a series or two. Anyone willing to jump in with me?
It's not like it's going to be the end of the world. You can watch a series in the opposite way you normally do. I think it'll be interesting to see what the experience is like! It might be even more interesting to watch a series you know and love in the manner that you don't normally watch. That way you could see what the other side is like.
If you're up for the challenge, hit me up on Twitter or leave a comment on this post. I hope some of you guys and gals are willing to try this out. It's all for fun, and maybe we'll all come away with a better understanding as to why certain people prefer one side over the other. You won't know for sure until you try!
