Which Parker is Replacing Demi Moore in 'Lovelace'?

Sarah Jessica Parker (Pacific Coast News) Demi Moore is putting her acting career on hold while she pays closer attention to her "overall health," so speculation has run high this week about which star would replace her in the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic. First Mary-Louise Parker's name floated around, but a different Parker was picked for the poignant part. (Say that last line three times fast.)

Yep, Sarah Jessica Parker is going to star as feminist icon Gloria Steinem in Lovelace. E! confirms SJP will fill the role alongside Amanda Seyfried and she'll reportedly start filming as early as Monday.

It's a surprising pick for Parker, who typically leans toward fluffier rom-com roles. Her last three films were I Don't Know How She Does It, Sex and the City 2, and Did You Hear About the Morgans? All clearly hard-hitting flicks. We're hoping the change of pace will be refreshing and she'll be able to pull off the role of one of the leaders of the '80s anti-pornography movement. At the very least, she'd better demand to film in killer heels.

Meanwhile, Moore has been released from the hospital after her Monday health scare and is reportedly seeking "professional treatment" for her "overall health" and "exhaustion," if you ask her publicist. If you talk to the folks at TMZ, there's much more to the story. Their reports suggest the 49-year-old actress has been existing on a diet of Red Bull, doing whip-its, and has been smoking something similar to incense. Their source says the newly single actress has been having "issues" lately. Stay tuned.
